OpenText.org Discourse Annotation Model
Existing tagging schemes for machine readable texts of the Greek New Testament focus upon tagging word forms with lexical and grammatical information. Little attention has been paid to higher levels of discourse, such as the clause and pericope or contextual features. In addition, there is a confusion between formal and semantic features. The OpenText.org annotation scheme makes a distinction between the different types of annotation that can be added to a discourse, and the level of discourse at which they can be applied.
